Why are we doing ministry at the bar?
Well, there's a long answer and a short answer. The short answer is, "why not?" The longer answer is this: we have a belief (strange as it may seem) that church doesn't and can't happen just within the confines of the church building. In fact, in the Bible, Jesus tells us to "go out." And so, we leave the church building and hang out at the bar, doing ministry there, too!
So, what's the catch?
There isn't one. Pastor Brian will simply be available to speak with you, listen to you, pray with you, and share with you...All while you enjoy a cup of coffee, pop, or even breakfast. There is no question that can't be asked and no need too strange. We're even happy to buy your cup of coffee or pop.
Where will I find Pastor Brian?
You'll find Pastor Brian sitting at a table inside of Twilliger's Tavern near the front entrance. If you don't know who Pastor Brian is, just look for a sign on the table. He'll be wearing a Laingsburg UMC shirt.
What if I get there and someone else is already there?
Pastor Brian tries to keep conversations to about 20 minutes or so. If you arrive, and someone is already at the table with Pastor Brian, just take a seat nearby and come on over when the table is clear. You may just need to wait a few minutes, but it shouldn't be long. Be sure to order something to drink. We'll cover it!
