Laingsburg United Methodist Church is a community of Christian disciples, young and old, seeking to be the body of Christ for one another and the world. We are made up of many different couples, families, children and individuals. Each of us comes from different homes, communities, backgrounds and experiences, and we come together to share who we are in Christ and who we are becoming through Christ.
We live out this purpose through five ministry areas: worship, outreach, service, fellowship and discovery.
Methodists have been worshiping and serving in Laingsburg since 1871, which is why our motto has long been "Spreading the Spirit since 1871." Over more than 150 years, generations of families have been baptized, married and nurtured in faith here.

In 2011, after several years of research, planning and conversations with the congregation about its vision for the future, the church broke ground on a major building project through its "Building on Faith" campaign. On May 6, 2012, Laingsburg United Methodist Church dedicated its new sanctuary, classrooms, narthex, library and offices. Today the building is home to worship services, Bible studies, fellowship meals, youth gatherings, Messy Church, mission projects and the Laingsburg Area Food Bank.
Our congregation is not in ministry alone. As part of the Michigan Conference of The United Methodist Church, we partner with hundreds of churches across the state and with United Methodists around the globe to share resources, pray, learn and serve. Learn more in What Do United Methodists Believe?
We believe the church should be a good neighbor. Over the years our members have taken part in the Laingsburg Ministerial Association and in local business and community events, and we continue to host the Laingsburg Area Food Bank, support Money 4 Meals, offer Tuesdays at Twilliger's and welcome families to Trunk-or-Treat.
